Ecology is the branch of biology that deals with the relations of organisms to one another and to their physical surroundings.
Organisms and Their Environment
Abiotic vs Biotic Factors
Abiotic- a nonliving factor in an ecosystem
Biotic Facor- a living factor in an ecosystem

Levels of organization
The levels of organization in Ecology( largest to smallest) are Biosphere, Biome, Ecosystem, Community, Population, and species.A biosphere is the regions of the surface, atmosphere, and hydrosphere of the Earth that is occupied by living organisms. A biome is a large naturally occurring community of flora and fauna occupying a major habitat. An ecosystem is a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment. A community is an assemblage or association of populations of two or more different species occupying the same geographical area and in a particular time. A population is a group of individuals of the same species inhabiting the same area. A species is a set of organisms adapted to a particular set of resources, called a niche, in the environment.
Symbiosis
The tree types of Sybiosis are Commensalism, Parasitism, and Mutualism. Commensalism is an association between two organisms in which one benefits and the other is neither benefitted nor harmed. Parasitism is a non-mutual relationship in which the parasite benefits and it's host is harmed. Mutualism is an association between two organisms in which both benefit.
