Communites
Succession is the gradual process by which ecosystems change and develop over time. Primary succession occurs where an ecosystem was completely destroyed and has no soil. Secondary succession occurs when an ecosystem is severely damage but soil still remains and it grows back. A climax community is a stable, mature community in a successive series which has reached equilibrium after having evolved through stages and adapted to its environment.
The difference between primary and secondary succession is that secondary succession has soil and primary does not.
